Foundation volunteers join more than 4,000 to help Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful
On September 21, 2013, approximately 20 Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring volunteers joined a total of 70 volunteers working with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful to clean up Hillsborough River State Park. These volunteers were part of the larger 26th Annual Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup, which drew more than 4,000 volunteers to 70 locations around Tampa Bay.
After trudging through wetter than usual hiking trails and traipsing over and around terrain rendered rougher by recent rains, the FMC Foundation of Caring Volunteers traveled to Lowry Park to enjoy the Rally at the River and the popular Recycle Regatta.
The mission of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is to provide environmental education and volunteer opportunities that develop individual responsibility and environmental stewardship. The Foundation of Caring volunteers helped them do just that.
